It tackles accommodation delivery issues in South Africa by combining live and work units in one property, responding to a juxtaposition of suburban and urban areas in Johannesburg. The courtyards architectural design has been inspired by Ndebele home typologies of the eastern Highveld that is employ constructions and connecting walls to define rooms. Uncovered steel bracing on the courtyards facades exterior design give distinct edges to contrast with the rough Tyrolean finish used.
