Named Somers Courtyard House located in small urban city Victoria, Australia, this one of sustainable home design by Rowan Opat Architects can be good inspiration for us. In this new modern courtyard house design architecture plan the customer’s brief was for a low maintenance house to accommodate an expanding family with regular guests. Positioned in a semi-rural context, the luxury residence is planned to function separately of mains water, sewerage, gas, and electricity. A sustainability consultant guided the mixture of every home material. Minimalist external walls decor and roof are insulated lightweight structure and draw to a close. Ecoply is used for the creative courtyard house surface and radially sawn Silver Top Ash for external board and batten cladding. The brief crystallized into a loose room interior arrangement of discreet living and utility constructions. The spaces in-between then grew into outdoor living rooms. Every space interior decorating and home furniture combines to give a comfortable spectrum of indoor and outdoor architectural experiences.
This Somers Courtyard House with darker external colors integrates the home into the shadows of the surrounding bush land. In contrast the modern courtyard employs a lighter color thus accentuating the courtyard as a type of interior design. The residence house architectural process revealed a design force in the study of the sun. The courtyard house is timber framed, with a Cedar Board ceiling, as well as radial sawed timber floors and decks. More information about this home development project visit: www.rowanopat.com
