Mainly request for this small narrow Japanese home design project was to have a sort of collective residence to accommodate 3 houses, an architecture plan that would totally separate the families within the same home living. House TTN designed by Miyahara Architect Office located in Tokyo was intended to accommodate the parents and the families of their two daughters. The parents’ living space is positioned on the home ground floor, through a highly independent main living room and private rooms with contemporary interior design style (one modern Japanese house style room and one bedroom) opening towards the outside. The first and second home floors are divided east and west, making living areas for each daughter’s family. A comfortable room decor distance is achieved by softly compelling the families to come together. Another central characteristic of House TTN architectural design was its structure. Small Japanese home ideas thus gives the essential functions for an “urban living” extended family, accommodating the needs of modern nuclear families who have grown accustomed to independent life but have selected to enjoy the benefits of being part of a large family.
