Creative monolithic museum structure designed by Musee des Beaux Arts has a dominant location right by the lake, at the southernmost tip located in Lausanne, Switzerland. Modern museum architecture forms an outstanding innovative addition to Lausanne’s townscape and riverside. The museum building office is connected to urban contemporary facilities with a welcoming ramp that meets guests at various access points. Exhibition guests follow the ramp back in the direction of the slope, arriving at the museum foyer on the first floor. The unique museum foyer is planned to be a “display window” for the entire city.
These museum exhibition rooms are positioned over two floors, with two spacious room interior decorating on every floor. The interweaving of museum exhibition rooms, both in the floor plan and the sectional drawing creates for thrilling room configurations and beautiful views. The contemporary and permanent exhibitions can be visited separately. The museum spacious exhibition halls allow flexible room division with partitioning elements.
