Modern functional public equipment building architecture design by Pedro Mendes Arquitectos, Lda is one of public space urban architectural design ideas use budget almost 1.379.000 € and located in Alto do Forte / Serra das Minas, Rio de Mouro, Portugal. The architecture designer make an innovative reorganization of the urban area connecting the existing constructuins, and at the equivalent time give this population with useful public equipment: a community center. OS it’s called “Community Center and Involving Exterior Spaces”, big architecture plan project propose to reuse this urban region and to endow it through the essential public amenities.

The Community Center and Involving Exterior Spaces building materials used in this development are concrete, glass and a concrete block “murson” in the main elevation. The community center program includes modern kindergarten, contemporary pre-school interior, comfortable day center for old people, medical support, minimalist kitchen, education activities, etc. These different activities are controlled as a separate nucleus that corresponds to different rooms. The main Community Center and Involving Exterior Spaces architecture purpose is to recycle the existing urban structure through the creation of a “natural platform”, to give plantations on the northern side of the structure, defining a modern urban front for the square allowing an exterior design space of leisure in the interior of the block, and also to redesign the passages between different squares.
