California new sustainable house residence architectures designed by CCS Architecture detail located in Murphys, CA, USA called “Gold Country Residence” is one of contemporary architecture design concept. Completed in January, 2009 this luxury home design interior use budget about $350,000 built up in area 1750 sf. The modern residence is divided into “live” and “sleep” building designs structure, every about 875 square feet that are sited to capture beautiful natural surroundings views. The home architectural is remotely sited, rather far from the local utility grid. Structural slabs contain radiant heat. Large overhangs which give maximum shade in summer and allow passive heat gain and daylight during winter season.

Gold Country Residence opened at night; the creative windows let cooler air to push heat out of the home. Larger, north-facing windows that offer maximum daylight without heat gain during summer season; large southern overhangs minimize heat gain. Overhangs and arbor roofs have foil backing to reproduce hot summer sun and also have solar vent fan system to vent heat, maintenance open house exterior space underneath cool. Energy provided with 24 PV panels through battery storage space and backup propane generator. Paints color are low VOC and flooring material is polished concrete with rugs furniture.
